This is the fine print about sessions, programs, and everything else I offer. These terms help create a solid container for our work together so we're both on the same page and there are no surprises about what we each expect. When you schedule with me, use my website, or engage with anything I offer, you are agreeing to the following. Please reach out before you book if you have any questions—I'm happy to help you figure out if we're a good fit before you sign up.

Part One: Term & Conditions of Use

1. Parties.

This Agreement is between you ("you" and "your") and Lesley Ames LLC ("I", "me", "my").

2. My Commitment to You.

I promise to support you and your animals with care, integrity, and compassion—facilitating meaningful connection and communication in the most ethical way I know how.

3. What I Expect of You.

By working with me, you are agreeing that you are fully responsible for your own well-being and the well-being of your animal(s) before, during, and after our sessions. This includes letting me know your needs and any concerns about our work together.

Animals are living beings with free will. They may respond to sessions in their own way and time. I do not command animals to behave in any particular way—I use my skills to open communication and support the best outcomes I can, but I cannot guarantee how any animal will respond.

4. Term + Termination.

This Agreement begins at the start of our first session and ends when we agree our work together is complete. You and I both hold the right to stop working together for any reason at any time.

5. My Services.

I support you as an animal communicator, as outlined on my website, www.lesleyames.com. Everything I offer—sessions, written materials, discussions, and any references to other practitioners or modalities—is meant to provide information and support through our work together. It is not a substitute for veterinary or medical care.

6. Communication.

I want to hear from you! You can reach me at lesley@lesleyames.com. I do my best to be responsive, but I'm not available on-call after hours, on weekends, or on holidays.

7. Confidentiality.

What you share with me is private and sacred. I will not talk about you or share any information related to our work together without your written permission—unless I am required to do so by law.

8. Fees & Payment.

Payment is expected at the time of booking. All fees are listed in USD on my website and I reserve the right to update them at any time. Payments are accepted via Stripe (credit/debit card). By using Stripe, you are subject to their terms and conditions as well—please contact Stripe directly with any questions about their platform.

Programs, Packages, and Classes: By enrolling, you are agreeing to pay the full fee regardless of whether you complete the program or are able to attend all sessions. If you choose a payment plan, you remain responsible for the full amount.

9. Rescheduling.

I'm happy to reschedule your session with at least 24 hours' notice. You can reschedule using the link in your confirmation email. Sessions are not transferable to another person.

If you cancel or don't show up with less than 24 hours' notice, I'm not able to offer a reschedule.
Programs, Classes & Workshops: Rescheduling is not available once you've enrolled.
If I ever need to cancel a session, you will receive a full refund or the opportunity to reschedule at no extra cost.
All session times are in Pacific Standard Time. Please make sure you know your appointment time—it's your responsibility to be aware of any time zone differences.

10. No Refunds.

Once payment has been made, there are no refunds—no exceptions. This applies to all sessions, programs, classes, and services, regardless of whether you attend or complete them.

The only exception: if I cancel a session, you'll receive a full refund through the original payment platform.

11. Experiencing a Session.

Animal communication can be surprising and moving. During or after a session, you or your animal may notice shifts—emotional releases, changes in behavior, a sense of calm, increased energy, or something else entirely. Some people notice big changes; others don't. Both are normal. You are fully responsible for your own integration and aftercare, and for the care of your animal following our session.

Animals respond in their own ways—some settle and rest, others become more alert or active. You remain fully responsible for your animal's safety and well-being at all times.

12. No Guarantees.

I can't promise specific outcomes—no one can. What I can promise is that I will show up for you and your animals with full care and integrity. The success of our work together ultimately depends on many things, including your openness and your animal's own free will.

13. Limits of My Work.

I will not tell you—or your animal—what path to take, what choices to make, or what the future holds. My role is to support you both, not to create change for you or direct your decisions. What your animals share with me belongs to you to interpret and act on as you see fit.

14. Not a Medical Practitioner.

I am not a veterinarian, licensed medical provider, therapist, or psychotherapist. I do not diagnose illness or injury, prescribe medications, or offer veterinary or medical advice of any kind.

Any physical symptoms or impressions I relay from your animals are meant to support your conversations with your vet—not replace them. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for your animal's health needs.

15. Liability Release.

By working with me, you agree to release and hold harmless Lesley Ames LLC, Lesley Ames, and her associates and agents from any and all claims, losses, damages, or liabilities—including accidental, coincidental, or consequential damages—arising from:

Your use of my services, website, materials, or programs;
Any information or suggestions shared during a session;
Any actions taken by you or your animal(s) before, during, or after a session;
Loss of or damage to personal property.

When you submit payment or engage my services, you are confirming that you have read and agreed to this release.

16. Intellectual Property.

All content I create—on my website, blog, social media, and in my programs—belongs to me and is protected by copyright. Please don't reproduce or share it without my written permission. To ask, just email me at lesley@lesleyames.com.

17. Third-Party Links.

My website may link to other sites. I'm not responsible for their content or privacy practices—I encourage you to read their policies when you visit.

18. Updates to These Terms.

I may update these terms from time to time. When I do, I'll post the changes on my website with a new effective date. Continuing to use my services after any changes means you're agreeing to the updated terms.

19. The Standard Legal Stuff.

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Washington. If any part of it is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. This Agreement represents our entire understanding and replaces any prior agreements. A failure to enforce any provision doesn't waive future enforcement. Email counts as written notice. And by engaging with me online—through scheduling, payment, or any other means—you agree to be bound by these terms just as if you'd signed them by hand.

Part Two: Privacy Policy

I take your privacy seriously. Here's how I collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using my website or services, you're agreeing to these practices.

Information I Collect

When you book a session, enroll in a program, or contact me, I may collect:

Your name, email address, phone number, and billing information;
Information about your animal(s), including name, species, age, photos, and descriptions you provide;
Communications between us (emails, messages, session notes);
Website usage data (see Cookies, below).

How I Use Your Information

I use your personal information solely to provide and improve my services, including to:

Schedule and deliver sessions and programs;
Process payments;
Communicate with you about your bookings or questions;
Send newsletters or updates, if you have opted in.

Your information is never sold, rented, displayed publicly, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Confidentiality of Session Information

All information shared during sessions—including details about you and your animals—is held in strict confidence and will not be disclosed to any third party without your written consent, except as required by law.

On any social media pages I operate, clients may choose to communicate publicly; however, I will never share client details or session content without explicit permission.

Payment Processing

Payments are processed through Stripe. I do not store your payment card information. You may sign in as a guest user on Stripe without creating an account. Please refer to Stripe's privacy policy for information about how they handle your financial data.

Email Communications

If you join my email list, your address is kept private and will never be shared or sold. You may unsubscribe at any time.

Cookies & Website Data

My website may use cookies and analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site. This data is aggregated and anonymous. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, though some site features may not function as expected.

Third-Party Links

My website may link to external sites. I'm not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. I encourage you to review their privacy policies independently.

Children's Privacy

My services are intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided me with personal information, please contact me and I will promptly delete it.

Your Rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time. To make such a request, please contact me at lesley@lesleyames.com.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use my services means you're agreeing to the updated policy.
