Dogs: Social Beings

Dogs: Social Beings was my first solo exhibition, held in Chicago from August 2–30, 2023. The work brought together portraits made at my pet portrait studio in Andersonville — images that tried to capture what I've always believed: that dogs carry a wild spirit, a unique personality, and a soulful presence that most people sense but rarely see clearly.

The exhibition also marked the beginning of Dogs of Andersonville, a photography project documenting one hundred dogs of the neighborhood and the social bonds they make possible.
